November in the Studio

This month has been a season for change and exploration in so many ways. Each day I enjoy spending time with my new grandson, marveling at his full head of hair and sleepy, milk-drunk face. Maybe soon my artwork will be influenced by this new role I find myself in, finding ways to express the overwhelming emotions that come with the title. In November, I attended a four-week studio painting class at the Art Students League of Denver. I met several talented painters who work diligently with the instructor to develop commercially viable painting skills. I enjoyed the exposure but find myself preferring to work in the solitude of my own studio, depicting scenes from my own creativity, venturing out every so often to share my work with curious art enthusiasts. I spent much of the month working on a dog-themed series depicting people interacting with dogs, roaming dogs, flying dogs, and walking dogs. These are part of the Daily Rituals collection and can be viewed on my website. Please take a look at what is new and let me know what you think! |

Vase of Flowers
This floral still life features vibrant, layered blooms and lively greens arranged in a soft, rounded vase. The bright background and expressive brushwork emphasize the freshness of the bouquet. Rich colors and loose details create a sense of immediacy, as if the flowers have just been gathered and placed on the table, ready to brighten the room. 11" W x 14" L

Thank you for following along as my work continues to grow and evolve. All paintings in this month’s feature are available to collectors, and the newly updated website includes expanded galleries for each series. I invite you to explore, share your thoughts, or reach out if a piece speaks to you.
Sincerely, Rebecca |
