ABOUT ME
REBECCA HALFORD
ARTIST
BASED IN COLORADO
My paintings move between observation and intuition. Rooted in the quiet rhythms of daily life, my work explores how light, memory, and emotion shape belonging. Through layered color and quiet symbolism, I invite viewers into spaces that feel both intimate and universal.
About Rebecca Halford
Rebecca Halford is a contemporary painter whose work explores the subtle intersections of memory, ritual, and place. Rooted in the quiet rhythms of daily life and the shifting light of the natural world, her paintings trace the emotional landscapes that connect us to one another and to the earth.

Originally from the American Southwest, Halford spent years working in renewable energy and community engagement, work that deepened her awareness of human connection, resilience, and the interdependence of people and land. These themes echo throughout her studio practice, where she blends intuitive mark-making with deliberate structure, creating imagery that feels both grounded and transcendent.

Each painting becomes a meditation on presence and transformation: the way light passes through a window, the silence between gestures, the pull of memory across time. Halford’s layered surfaces evoke the impermanence of experience, revealing beauty in what fades, strength in what endures.
Her work has been exhibited in regional galleries and juried shows and collected privately across the United States. She currently lives and paints in Colorado.
