Rebecca Halford Studio

About
I’m Rebecca Halford—painter, animal lover, nature observer, and lifelong creative. I create expressive, emotion-driven paintings that blend elements of the natural world, abstracted landscapes, and figurative storytelling. My work explores the quiet power of everyday rituals and the inner worlds we carry, shaped by memory, mood, and the textures of lived experience.
Much of my inspiration comes from the wide-open skies and layered terrain of the American Southwest. I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of New Mexico and have spent most of my life in New Mexico and Colorado—places that continue to shape the palette, energy, and emotional tone of my art.
Before returning to the studio full-time, I worked for over two decades in the renewable energy industry, helping bring sustainable solutions to life across communities. That work sharpened my sense of connection to people and place—something I now express through brushstrokes, lines, and layered colors.
Leaving the corporate world was both a leap and a return: back to my creative roots, back to the canvas. In my current work, I explore themes like resilience, presence, and quiet transformation through symbolic figures, domestic scenes, and the shared rituals of small-town life.
Original artwork is available and affordably priced, with fine art prints offered for many pieces. If a painting speaks to you, I encourage you to reach out. Submit an inquiry through the contact form for availability, pricing, or print options.
Thank you for being here—and for supporting independent, heartfelt art.
