Halford layers translucent washes over pale umbers and dusty violets, creating a veiled surface that feels both aged and alive. The faint contours of a face emerge like something recalled from dream, not fully known, yet deeply familiar. In this work, ancestry becomes a spiritual inheritance, not of bloodlines but of consciousness. The figure appears to dissolve and reassemble in the same breath, holding the paradox of time: the way the past continues to breathe through us.
